Rep. LaFave focuses on March is Reading Month
State Rep. Beau LaFave of Iron Mountain has visited several local schools to read to students throughout the month. In conjunction with March is Reading Month, Rep. LaFave is focusing his attention on fund-raising license plates, which helps fund libraries.
“It is great to have a month that celebrates reading,’ LaFave said. “Funding libraries and being able to help children discover the joys of reading is imperative. Being able to fund these libraries helps the community in countless ways.”
Rep. LaFave has recently read to students at Central Elementary School in Menominee and Woodland Elementary School in Kingsford.
